Macartney estate records (Antrim estate records)

The title of these records has been wrongly identified as Antrim estate records in the Family search database. They are the Macartney estate records.

In 1733 George Macartney family purchased an estate in Loughguile parish from the O’Haras of Crebilly. The estate was subsequently enlarged through the acquisition of additional townlands. This database lists the tenants on the estate recorded in a volume of maps drawn in 1772. The original is in the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland under reference D/1062/2/4/1.
